As the classic car world celebrates the 60th anniversary of the MK2 Jaguar this year, it is with great pleasure that we can offer here today on behalf of a client probably the most sought after of all MK2 models.

A 1962 Jaguar MK2 3.8 Manual with Overdrive, original LHD, British Racing Green with Beige Leather interior, front fog lamps, working PYE radio, “1021WK” was originally supplied to Henlys of London who then exported the car to the USA. The car was then repatriated less than a year later. The early history is a little sketchy after the car returned from the USA, we do know that the car was put into long term storage and resurfaced in 1982. The then owner sold the Jaguar through an auction house in London and we believe purchased by a Belgian classic car dealer and subsequently bought by our c... lient.

Our client, having purchased the car some 12 years ago, had the car resprayed in British Racing Green, the paintwork is still very presentable today. The beige interior is also presentable with nice patina. The car has also been converted to wire wheels from the original disc wheels. Some time ago the car had extensive work carried out to the braking system and further brake work has just been completed. Woodwork is in excellent condition. Lucas front fog lamps. The car has spent most of our clients' 12 year ownership in Paris where it was used at weekends and always garaged. The car was subsequently moved with the client to his property in the Gers department of France.

Having been laid up for the last 2 years, the car is currently being extensively re-commissioned including rebuild of the carburettors, full service, installation of a new fuel pump and new rear brake discs and pads.

The car will be sold with a new Contrôle Technique, French Carte Grise and Jaguar Heritage Certificate. A very nice usable example with some minor work remaining to make an excellent and desirable MK2 Jaguar. We would be very happy to provide ongoing maintenance and parts for this Jaguar.

Le monde de la voiture de collection célèbre cette année le 60e anniversaire de la Jaguar MK2, c'est avec grand plaisir que nous pouvons offrir (au nom d'un client) probablement le modèle MK2 le plus recherché de tous. Une Jaguar MK2 3.8 manuelle 1962 avec overdrive, conduite à gauche d'origine, intérieur cuir beige, phares antibrouillard avant, radio PYE, "1021WK" a été fournie à l'origine à Henlys de Londres qui a ensuite exporté la voiture aux États-Unis. La voiture a ensuite été rapatriée moins d'un an plus tard. L'histoire du début est un peu vague après le retour de la voiture des États-Unis, nous savons que la voiture a été mise en stockage à long terme et refaite en 1982. Le propriétaire de l'époque a vendu la Jaguar lors d'une vente aux enchères à Londres et nous pensons qu'elle a été achetée par un concessionnaire en Belgique de voitures anciennes, puis par notre client. Notre client a acheté la voiture il y a 12 ans, l'a fait repeindre en 'British Racing Green', la peinture est encore très présentable aujourd'hui. L'intérieur beige est également présentable avec une belle patine, avec quelques réparations mineures sur le siège du conducteur. La voiture a été convertie en roues à rayons à partir des roues à disque d'origine. Il y a quelque temps, le système de freinage de la voiture a fait l'objet d'importants travaux et d'autres travaux de freinage viennent d'être terminés. La menuiserie est en excellent état. Il y a Lucas feux brouillard avant. La voiture a passé la plupart de nos clients 12 ans en propriété à Paris où elle était utilisée le week-end et toujours garée. La voiture a ensuite été déplacée avec le client sur sa propriété ici dans le Gers. Après avoir été garée ici pendant les deux dernières années, la voiture fait actuellement l'objet d'une remise en service complète, ce qui comprend la reconstruction des carburateurs, le service complet, l'installation d'une nouvelle pompe à carburant et de nouveaux disques et plaquettes de frein arrière.La voiture sera vendue avec une nouvelle technique de Controle, la Carte Grise française et le Jaguar Heritage Certificate. Un très bel exemple utilisable avec un peu de travail restant pour faire une excellente et désirable Jaguar MK2. Nous serions très heureux d'assurer l'entretien continu de cette Jaguar.
